Who We Are
A community-centric general store in rural Cape Breton with a long history and old-fashioned charm focused on locally made products. We carry locally sourced items and a curated selection of imported goods. From grocery, produce and animal feed to rubber boots, hdardware and cigars - we truly do carry a little bit of everything.
At Brook Village Grocery we believe in making high quality foods accessible to our community. We believe in the great importance of supporting our local farmers and producers, and strive to source fresh produce and meat as locally as possible.
| At the same time, we recognize that it is often difficult to source hard-to-find grocery items in our rural community, and therefore offer a curated selection of imported goods. Customers are constantly surprised at the diversity of our products. From animal feed and rubber boots to hardware and cigars, we truly do carry a little bit of everything.
||With a few changes in name and ownership, Brook Village Grocery has been serving it's community continuously for 145 years. Karen Allen purchased the business in July of 2017. She and the rest of the team work hard to maintain BVG's original character and sense of community, while keeping up with current food trends and changing demands.|
